Oooh MY!! How wonderful, the fruits of your labor are producing such lovely veggies... NOW if the temps here in NY would cooperate. Still very cool & rainy!! Once again, I wanted to turn on the heat, can you imagine that in June!!
Thanks Balisha .. I am wondering if I will be able to get the guys to eat "purple pesto" :)
Lucy I have a friend in Mass. that said the same thing, supposed to be 87 here by Friday .. the garden is loving it!
Thanks MBT, I started them indoors from seed and transplanted early outdoors under my pop bottle greenhouses, which I will definitely be doing again next year :)
What a lovely garden. I harvested a few tiny pattypan squash last week. I just couldn't wait until they got bigger. Yesterday I noticed that I, too, have some baby tomatoes. It's pretty exciting watching a garden grow, isn't it?
Sue .. actually I like the smaller pattypan squashes better, exciting? LOL .. I came hurrying back into the house to drag DH out for a look at my babies .. now he checks out the garden everyday :)
Thanks Grace ... the close up of the male bloom is totally different, wish I had thought to post both of them :)
Just a wee bit envious - most of my seedlings did nt come to fruition. But my basil did. Love the pesto bed and what will you do with your first zucchini and cherry tomatoes? They look luscious and the first of the season seems to get the biggest greeting! Do you cook with the zucchini flowers?
I meant to leave a comment yesterday and between the server going offline and my thinking about the time DS Gary had an allergic reaction to Pesto, I moved on.
Claudia I usually end up eating the first cherry maters right off the vine ... lol ... I am planning on stuffing and grilling the zucchini, will post when I do. I have never had the blossoms, but I know some people who do.
Elenka .. it looks AHEM just like a 'body part' of a male, how is that for PC? ROFL!!
Nell .. thank you for the caring thoughts. ((((Nell))))
Peachkins .. herbs are the easiest to grow, and they do not need a great deal of soil or large containers, I have parsley growing in an old coffee container :)
Juliana .. thank you :)
CFT .. LOL ... well in order to have a family you must have ....... :)

What a great roof top garden you got there. The fruits of Labor are showing!
Thanks Theresa .. with the ever increasing cost of food, looks like I will expand once again next year.
I'm back to look at the female bloom again. It's almost naughty.
