What great photos of the market! Only problem is that I wanted to be there with you. Also the spicy chicken cakes look really good and I think I'll try them some day this week.

Thanks for bringing this wonderful market to life for the rest of us, Ohiomom.

It really is a great market, nothing like having a relationship with the people who grow your food :) I get the chance to find out how their farms are faring and what crops they are adding for the next season. You also get to commiserate when a crop fails. It sure gives you a whole new perspective and appreciation for the family farmer.

You can find the original chicken cake recipe at GW Cooking Forum under the Burger Cook Off thread.

I will never have to eat a dry chicken burger again, thanks to Linda at CF.

Nice photos.

But the last one has me a little perplexed. I like beans and I like pie. I don't know how I feel about them together.

Have you ever had sweet potato pie ?

It is a very similar taste ... I bought a small carrot pie last week, DELICIOUS !!

I plan on doing my own version of a bean and/or carrot pie this Fall or Winter.
