My Mother used to make these for Christmas. She would order pecan halves from the 4-H kids, and get them usually around Thanksgiving. The next week, she would make these fantastic snacks. She would usually make about 10 pounds of them, and used a lot for gifts in pretty metal cans.

I ordered pecan halves from 4-H this year. I am becoming more like Mama every day. heheehe

Christmas always reminds me of Mama baking and cooking, with us girls helping prep, or just getting in the way.

I can remember sitting for hours cracking nuts and picking out the "goodie" :)
