Sticky Buns

Had to use up the other half of the dough I made the other day. Just took sticky buns out of the oven, these are best served warm.

Sticky Bun Recipe

Grease a 9X12 baking pan. Pour 1/2 cup melted butter in bottom of dish. Drizzle 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup over butter. Sprinkle 1/2 cup brown sugar over butter. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, about 1/2 cup. Set aside.

Brought the dough to room temperature. Rolled out to about a 12X16 rectangle. Brush 2 Tbsp. of melted butter over dough, sprinkle a mixture of 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon.

Roll up dough, pressing edges to seal. Slice dough in 1 inch pieces, place cut side down in pan. Cover and let rise till double in bulk, 45-50 minutes.

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Bake about 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool in pan for 2 minutes, invert onto wire rack. Yields 12 buns.

The sticky buns look fabulous Linda!!! We're getting more snow tonight and tomorrow morning would be a good time for a Sticky Bun and fresh ground coffee!

I've got to make more Basic Dough, I'd like to try some Sticky Buns and bagels!!

We are getting white stuff right now, we have over a foot on the ground ... off the the grocer to stock up. I actually have run out of flour :)

DS loved the sticky buns, he usually doesn't care for nuts in baked goods, notice he ate half of these :)
