A Market Meal

I wanted to create a meal out of the vegetables I had from my local farmers market for Sunday supper. Marie of Proud Italian Cook had posted her Primavera Pasta Pie last week that I wanted to make. I had a zucchini, green tomato, candy onion, portobella mushrooms, fresh mozarrella cheese and a couple of organic carrots from my local grocer. The food critic who will tell you he is not a "spaghetti" person absolutely loved this dish and I will be making it again.

Great idea and so timely. I went a little nuts (as usual) at the farmer's market this weekend. Then I got more vegetables than I expected from my local CSA pick up. So I've got to do something with all of it. This recipe will work just fine.

LOL ... I can't help it, I go to the market and my bag fills up, must be the market elves :)

Cynthis ... my darlin food critic may never eat traditional spaghetti again, he really like this "pie".

Ooo I should save this recipe and make it next time I go the farmer's market (assuming I find a good one. I'm having trouble being satisfied in my area).

Go to my sidebar, toward the bottom of the page and click on Local Harvest, it will tell you the farmers markets in your area :)

If I had a bib, it would be on - if I lived in Cleveland, I'd be rockin' at your house - my life does sound kind of ify doesn't it - but that recipe - goodness, no ifs about that one.
